Piper Carter was featured as one of the final 7 contestants on Tyra Bank’s VH1 show “The Shot”. She had the best picture 4 times (out of four episodes), and I was chosen as team leader twice. The experience reinforced her passion for photography. She was featured in OK! Magazine, TV GUIDE, US WEEKLY, and also SIRIUS RADIO, XM RADIO
She has shot editorials for BRITISH ELLE, NEW YORK TIMES, TRACE, SPIN, Styleline, Ambassador, Riverwise, BLAC Magazine, ESSENCE, other publications including emerging talent for ISLAND DEF JAM MUSIC GROUP, DEF JAM, Sony Music, Warner Music, Universal Music, Disturbing tha Peace, Elektra Records, and BET. . Her commercial experience consists of ad campaigns and catalogs for various brands including CANDIES, FUBU, The Ad Council, and working with many agencies including MCCANN ERICKSON.
She has covered behind the scenes of the collections at OLYMPUS Fashion Week for AOL’s Stylelist and MERCEDES BENZ Fashion Week. Her videos of the Maria Cornejo collection were featured on French Vogue’s website.
She was assistant to world renowned photographer STEVEN KLEIN for three years. She majored in photography at Howard University and Photography & Digital Media at Fashion institute of Technology (F.I.T.). She completed an intensive internship at Vogue Magazine in the Photo Department assisting the photo research team with editorial content for the magazine and the famous Poiret exhibition which was featured at the re-opening of the METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART inside the COSTUME INSTITUTE. pipercarterstudio.com
